Location: Beach Access 38 by Shoals Club
Registration fee: $20
Registration: 4:30p – 5:45p by the Coastal Urge tent
Start Time: 6:00p

There will be fun, refreshments, and snacks.

Race Categories & Distances

  • Men:  4 miles
    • Ages 40 and older
    • Ages 16-39
  • Women:  4 miles
    • Ages 40 and older
    • Ages 16-39
  • Kids:  1 mile
    • Ages 15 and under

Rules/Regulations

  • Helmets
    • All racers are required to wear a helmet.
  • Waivers
    • All racers are required to sign a release of liability form at Check-In.  Racers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present to provide signature.

Racer Check-In: 4:30p-5:45p

  • Racers must arrive for Check-In between 4:30-5:45p
  • Racer must provide:
    • Valid ID (16 and older)
    • Signature for Release of Liability form
  • Racers will receive:
    • Race Number
    • Race Heat Assignment
    • Goodie Bag

Race Schedule:

  • First heat begins at 6:00p
  • Each racer will be assigned to a heat and be timed individually.
  • Heats will be organized by age group and will be determined based on the number of race entries in each category.
  • All heats in each race category will take place in the following order:
  1. Men: 40 and older
  2. Women: 40 and older
  3. Men: 16-39
  4. Women: 16-39
  5. Kids

Getting to the island.

  • For detailed information on the ferry, click here.
  • Each round-trip ferry ticket costs $23 and comes with a FREE tram service to and from anywhere on the island. When you purchase your ticket at the ferry ticket counter on the main land, let them know you want a tram service to the Shoals Club.
  • You will also need a FREE tram back to the ferry after the bike race. Call 910-457-5006 at least 2 hours before your desired ferry departure time to schedule a pick up.
  • It costs an additional $23 to check your bike as luggage for the ferry ride.
